Sony launched four smartphones at the recent MWC in Barcelona, but it was easy to miss the cheapest batch of the quad - the Xperia L3. Xperia 1 got a 4K camera and the company's first triple camera, bringing the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus 21: 9 Cinemawide screens to the mid-range, while the Xperia L3 does not have its own trump card. Well let's see if this is really the case or if there is more to an entry level headphone than the spec sheet indicates.
The Sony Xperia L3 is the manufacturer's cheapest smartphone 2019, but unlike the previous L devices, this device looks more ambitious and attractive. The L3 adopts the latest Sony design language and has a neat tall screen although the aspect ratio is 18: 9, not 21: 9.
Another cool feature raised from more premium models is the side-mounted fingerprint reader. The side is one of the best places to place a bio scanner and it is already proven very comfortable and natural.
The main camera on the Xperia L3 isn't particularly impressive with its 13MP sensor and f / 2.2 lens, but it does have a 2MP depth sensor for photos and simulated bokeh.
Finally, the Helio P22 is one of the weakest chipsets out there on the market, but it could do just fine under the 720p screen. We'll stumble upon that a bit, but first let's take a comprehensive look at the spec sheet.

The Xperia L3 has some obvious omissions - the chipset we mentioned already, but also the Android version is Oreo instead of Pie and there is no information if the L3 will get Android 9. The phone won't charge with a fast charger even though it supports USB- PD.
On the plus side, the Xperia L3 packs Gorilla Glass 5 to keep the screen safe, there's a 3.5mm audio port, a microSD slot, and it supports FM radio, and we're sure a lot of people will appreciate that.
Unboxing for Sony Xperia L3
The Xperia L3 is packed inside a general Sony paper box - and that means it all with some Xperia engraving around it. Inside, we found the Xperia L3 itself, a USB-C cable, and a 7.5W charger.
The Xperia L3 supports Fast Charging, but you will have to purchase a compatible PD charger separately if you want to use it.
