Now this is the Infinity Display - not Infinity-O, not Infinity-U, not Infinity - something else. The Samsung Galaxy A80 has a full-screen face thanks to the elegant camera mechanism that pops up and rotates so that the same cameras serve a dual function, front and back. This type has been done before, but not this way.
The phone doesn't end there - in addition to the two conventional cameras, one standard wide, and one extra-wide, the Galaxy A80 features a flight time unit for depth mapping. So not only if you get selfies with the quality of photos captured on the main camera, you also get some advanced depth detection. Add to that the Live Focus videos, not just the photos, and we can see the potential of the A80 with a specific demographic.
The 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED display is likely to be greatly enjoyed by everyone - it has FullHD + technology with a longer-than-usual 20: 9 display (watch out for Xperias), as it offers ample screen space. The Snapdragon 730 also looks promising - Qualcomm's latest version just below the 800-series has the potential to save power and should be efficient as well.
Let's hope you are, in fact, because the battery inside the A80 isn't huge - the capacity fell victim to having to match the moving bits and at 3700mAh less than what some of the smaller phones have. It's nice having 25WUSB Power Delivery support, although it's not really the same as a big power pack.
We understand how Samsung couldn't get bigger, though - the A80 is really big at 220g. However, the space was clearly over-priced as the essentials were canceled - there's no headphone jack and no microSD slot either. Boo.
Take a look at what's in and isn't on the Galaxy A80.

Samsung Galaxy A80 unboxing
It's one of those instances where we know what's in the box, but we don't have one to show you, at least not yet. We expect to find the same 25W adapter that we saw on the Galaxy A70, rated at 5V / 3A and 9V / 2.77A. It's USB Power Delivery compatible so it comes with a USB-C output and the package includes a C-to-C cable as well.
With the headphone jack expired, Samsung includes a batch of USB-C earbuds. There is no dongle in the box so if you want to use a third-party 3.5mm headphone, you will also need a third-party adapter. Some packages will also include a protective pouch, but it may be helpful to check with the retailer or carrier of choice for exactly which is in the box.
