The OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G were introduced back in May, and all three devices are now added to the list of ARCore compatible smartphones. If you go to this link, you will be able to review the full list of ARCore supported devices.
By reaching this status, the OnePlus 7 series of smartphones has joined its predecessors, OnePlus 3, 5, 5T, 6 and 6T, all of which are compatible with Google ARCore platform, as long as they are running Android 8.0 Oreo or Android 9 Pie, that is.
For those of you who don't know, ARCore is Google's AR (Augmented Reality) system that's been announced since 2017. ARCore has gained a lot of traction since it became a thing, unlike the Project Tango that came before that. Google ARCore is not completely limited to hardware, which is almost certain the main reason why it has managed to grow so much compared to Project Tango.
The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro were recently added to the list of supported devices, and the same can be said for LG's flagships, the LG G8 ThinQ, and V50 ThinQ 5G, not to mention Google's new bands, Pixel 3a and Pixel 3A XL.
Google recently introduced some new ARCore capabilities, including the Augmented Faces API and Scene Viewer, both of which require a great deal of computing power, but that shouldn't be a problem for the OnePlus 7 series either, given how robust the hardware is in those devices. .
If you want to see what the OnePlus 7 series can achieve when it comes to AR, feel free to download the Google ARCore app, linked below, and try it yourself. Many people think that augmented reality is the future, along with virtual reality, but we will see where the technology will take us, as neither of them is developed as it should be at the moment.
All three OnePlus 7 smartphones that we mentioned are actually powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 855 dual-core processor and all have UFS 3.0 storage, making it the only devices available with this flash storage, in addition to that to the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.
All three phones are equipped with large RAM, and quite frankly, they should be able to power practically anything you throw at them, without a problem. All three phones also ship with Android 9 Pie and OnePlus' OxygenOS 9.5 skin.
The OnePlus 7 Pro and 7 Pro 5G variants are not compatible with a display, while they do include a 6.67-inch QHD + Fluid AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, which is also curved. On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 comes with the same FullHD + Optic AMOLED panel that was included in the OnePlus 6T. There are many other differences between these devices, like in the camera department, for example, but for the most part they are quite similar in terms of sheer power.
