Facebook extracts the details of any image that is posted

Facebook extracts the details of any image that is posted on it, so that the network can now identify the people, things and places that appear in the pictures, depending on an automatic work mechanism and without any manual intervention from the network's employees.

But access to these details is not clearly available to the user, so he needs to enter the source of the image through the Internet browser, so that he can then see the alt attribute that contains what the Facebook network concluded from the image, so that the image may contain is written and then the things that are expected It is in the picture.

However, there is a new addition called Show Facebook Computer Vision Tags which helps in accessing these contents in a simpler and clearer way, so that it is written over any image on the Facebook network, and the extension can be used by following the following steps:

First, install the extension on the Google Chrome browser from the Chrome store, or on the Firefox browser from the Firefox store.

After that restart your browser and then open the Facebook network.

Now you will find that every image posted on the network appears in the upper right-hand corner a group of words that express the contents of the image, in addition to appropriate emoji for these contents.

This information is obtained from the alt attribute in the code for any image on Facebook, and if there is no content in the attribute, nothing will appear.

In the event that you no longer want these details to appear on the images, it is sufficient to delete the extension from your browser

It is noteworthy that this add-on is open source and can be accessed via the GitHub site, which contains all the files for in addition to information about Facebook's mechanism for obtaining the contents of the images, whether they are people, foods, places, or even things.

The main goal of this service added by Facebook is to help the blind know the details of any image posted on the network, and this service is called Automatic alternative text and was developed by the Facebook Accessibility team.
