In light of the rumors about Mi 9T, the new phone has been listed on Geekbench with similar specifications as the Redmi K20 Pro. This indicates that the Redmi K20 Pro may appear globally as the Mi 9T Pro - just like the way the Redmi K20 has appeared in global markets as the Mi 9T. Also, the Mi 9T Pro will likely arrive alongside the vanilla Mi 9T on June 12.
The interestingly published Geekbench listing on Friday reveals not only the presence of the Mi 9T Pro but also the key specifications. The list shows that the phone is running Android 9 Pie out of the box and is being powered by an octa-core OOC, along with 8GB of RAM. These are similar to the specifications of the Redmi K20 Pro listed on the Geekbench database.
Moreover, the Geekbench listing shows that the apparently tested Mi 9T Pro through the standard app had a single core score of 3,453 and a multi-core score of 10,363. The results are particularly similar to the single-core and multi-core results from the Redmi K20 Pro. The 8GB RAM variant of the Redmi K20 Pro on the Geekbench listing shows a single core score of 2,963 and a multi-core score of 10,109.
Given the number of details we have through the Geekbench listing, the Mi 9T Pro is expected to appear as a global version of the Redmi K20 Pro. This is similar to how Redmi K20 is expected to arrive globally as Mi 9T. The Mi 9T Pro Geekbench listing was first discovered by MySmartPrice.
Xiaomi has not revealed any details about the Mi 9T Pro. Therefore, it is safe to take the latest developments with a grain of salt for now.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi officially launched Mi 9T on June 12. It is already rumored that the phone is available in the Philippines with a starting price of 19,000 PHP (around 25,500 rupees).
