The new OnePlus 7T that powers Super Slow Motion videos at 960 fps

Despite the long list of features that the OnePlus 7T possesses, a couple are missing but which were promised during the announcement. Super Slow-Motion video recording is one of those functions and OnePlus has said it will provide it with a future update.

The company has officially confirmed that it plans to push a software update for the newly released phone that will arrive with Super Slow-Motion videos at 960 fps at 720p resolution. This is a significant step up from previous OnePlus phones that support 480 fps recording at the same resolution. However, the sensor on the phone cannot shoot 960 frames per second, so it will likely use some type of interpolation to achieve those frames.

Finally, the 7T will also get the ability to record 4K videos with the Ultra Wide camera. We mentioned in our review that the 2160p recording was only limited to the main and telephoto camera while the ultra-wide was covered to 1080p and we were wondering why. For the record, the OnePlus 7 Pro was also not available for this option at first but it did pick up on the Android 10 update released last week.
